Armor of the Evangelist by Jeff Callaway
Armor of the Evangelist

Texas Outlaw Poet
The world is burning — can’t you feel the flame?
Greed and despair, but we play the same game.
“The harvest is plentiful, the laborers few” (Matt. 9:37),
So who’s gonna rise when the fire runs through?
Christ didn’t whisper, He thundered command:
“Go make disciples, baptize every land” (Matt. 28:19).
Neutral don’t cut it, silence won’t do,
You’re either a soldier — or the fire burns you.
The Church ain’t a museum for the polished elite,
It’s Noah’s Ark with salvation’s seat.
Waters are rising, the storms gonna pound,
“When the Lord shut the door” (Gen. 7:16) — no one else gets found.
This ain’t philosophy, it ain’t polite chat,
Hell is real — don’t forget that.
“Today if you hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts” (Heb. 3:15),
‘Cause tomorrow could vanish before it even starts.
The Word cuts sharper than a blade of steel,
(Heb. 4:12) — yeah, it wounds, but it heals.
Drop slogans, drop gimmicks, let Scripture ignite,
One verse in the dark turns the graveyard to light.
Silence can thunder, don’t you know that’s true?
Like the Lamb who was beaten and still stayed mute (Isa. 53:7).
Pray in the quiet, fast when it’s hard,
Let Heaven invade when you drop your guard.
It’s faces, not theories — your neighbor, your friend.
Your witness might mark where eternity bends.
“You’re the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14), so shine and be brave,
One flicker of Christ could pull souls from the grave.
Put the armor on — don’t you dare fight bare,
Ephesians 6:10, every weapon’s there.
Truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Sword,
“The Breastplate of St. Patrick,” Christ shield me, O Lord.
Now the stakes? Eternal, hot, and clear,
Imagine the one you love most disappear.
Not for a moment, not for a year —
Forever apart, while you scream through the tear.
(2 Thess. 1:9) Hell’s gates never break,
Every second a burn, every heartbeat an ache.
And the weight? It’s crushing, it’s sharp, it’s true,
One silence from you… could cost someone too.
“Rescue the dying” (Prov. 24:11), don’t play that game,
The silence of saints could stoke hell’s flame.
So here’s the manifesto, here’s the creed:
Preach Christ when you’re mocked, preach Christ when you bleed.
Preach when they silence, preach when they sneer,
Preach ‘til the fire dies — or Christ reappears.
Better scarred for Christ by the world’s cruel fire —
Than to burn forever in eternal pyre.
